About Irish Pete...
For those of you who are not familiar with Pete Doyle, here
is a little synopsis:
Pete Doyle grew up in Dublin, Ireland and moved to California
in 1997 to pursue a career in professional wrestling. In 1998,
Pete met Rick Bassman and while helping Rick construct the
new UPOW, acted as the UPW Ring Announcer. From there, Pete
moved up to doing Color Commentary and backstage interviewing
and eventually being named as the UPW Commissioner. In 2001,
Pete was signed to a deal with WWE as part of their Creative
Team and after a year, received his release and moved back
to California. After some time off, regrouping and redirecting
his attitude, Pete went back to UPW in 2003 and straight back
to the role of UPW Commissioner. Pete got involved in a bitter
Rivalry with UPW owner Rick Bassman and eventually had a match
for full control of the company in Febraury 2004. Pete lost
the match to Rick and was subsequently fired, yet again, by
Vince McMahon, via sattelite.
Since then, Pete has been on a quest to demolish the UPW poster
boy, Tom Howard by unleashing some of Tom's biggest opponent's
ever, such as Sean O'Haire. Who else will Pete bring to UPW
- to try and destroy everything that Bassman has built? Will
Pete make his track back to WWE and display his skills to
